- Scope & content
- Sous-fonds consists of records relating to interviews conducted for Jean Walton’s book, Mudflat Dreaming (New Star Books, 2018), for which Walton interviewed people with a connection to the Maplewood Mudflats squats (bulldozed and burned out in 1971) as well as a working class neighborhood in Surrey, on the south bank of the Fraser. This collection consists of Walton's interview with late Vancouver-based actor, Jackie Crossland about her early life, her arrival in Vancouver, her slow process of coming out, eventually her career in theatre and the arts in Vancouver in the 80s and thereafter. Records include 11 digital files and an almost-complete interview transcript.
