- Scope & content
- Fonds consists of records related to the management and administration of the Sussex-Ulster and Harbord Village Residents' Association boards; subject files related to local issues; the outputs of an oral history project to document the experiences of long-time residents of Harbord Village; and some miscellaneous files from past board chairs. Records include meeting minutes, organizational governance documents, reports, photographs, and correspondence with residents, city councillors, the City of Toronto Planning and Development department, and representatives from local businesses. Records document issues related to local traffic mazes, disputes with the University of Toronto and the Doctor's Hospital, the formation of the Central Area Plan, zoning by-law amendments, street parking, neighbourhood watch programs, and parks. In addition, fonds contains 109 sound recordings of oral histories taken with longstanding community residents.
