Later material donated by Nap Kapinsky and Miriam Goldstein, 1997. 4. Called Thelma (Mrs Steinman) regarding a photo of herself with young people standing on the steps of Talmud Torah, 1934. It was a Young Judaea group of girls and Thelma was their leader. Around this time, a group got together to sponsor a Musical Concert at the Little Theatre. The group borrowed money from Mrs Goldman (Betty Feller’s mother) and it was her coal money which she was accumulating for the winter. The concert was a failure and money had to be repaid. Dolly Blushinsky and Nap Kapinsky went to see Mr. A. J. Freiman and Thelma went along but waited outside. She knew from the looks on their faces it had not been an easy meeting. The message was to “never organize without checking with the Ottawa Zionist organization first." 5. 1930s letterhead donated by Barbara Kalin Sussman, September 2022. Barbaa's gradparents were Bookman's which name appears on the letterhead.
