Scope & content
Treaty time at Fort Rae. Tents erected all over the spare ground. Possibly hundreds of people gathered in the town and stayed there for about a week. The natives who used the Bay pitched their tents on the Bay's side of the river and the natives who used Northern Traders Ltd. pitched their tents on the side of the river near Northern Traders. There was a large tent used for meetings by the natives.
