Scope & content
This series consists of artifacts, family photographs and correspondence of Leonid Mosendz. Leonid Mosendz (1897-1948) was a prominent Ukrainian author who became a displaced person after World War II. Suffering from tuberculosis, Batchinsky arranged for him to be hospitalized in Switzerland in 1946. Batchinsky took a strong interest in him (see Mosendz BD) and after Mosendz death Bathcinsky acquired his briefcase containing family photographs, correspondence and other personal effects.
