- Scope & content
- Booklet with brown cardstock cover and paper pages. On the front cover of the booklet, the title "Passover Service - Munich Enclave" is printed in black with the dates and the location of the Seder directly underneath (Munich, Germany - April 15-16, 1946). The booklet is written primarily in Hebrew and Yiddish with sketches of the hardships faced by the Jewish peoples during Hitler's reign. Narrative: As this text was used on the occasion of the first Passover after the liberation of the Jewish peoples from the Nazi regime, it was significant that the Haggadah (traditionally, the message of triumph and liberation from Egypt) reflect these new hardships and their triumph over them. Rabbi Abraham Klausner (an American chaplain) performed the service for the Holocaust survivors.
