- Scope & content
- Publication by the American Eugenics Party (AEP) on their criticisms about the Supreme Court of the United States. The AEP first suggests that judges need to be elected “directly by the people” or appointed for a “short term by a politician elected by the people”. The publication then argues the Supreme Court has no place in a democracy and should be abolished altogether, as the AEP suggests the Supreme Court’s “interpreting” of the law often turns into an incorrect legislating of the law. The AEP discusses its disagreements with key legislative rulings that facilitated major judicial and electoral reforms and the end of de jure racial segregation, anti-miscegenation laws, discriminatory housing practices, and mandatory prayer in public schools calling them “extremist decisions”. The publication concludes that the current elective process is undemocratic and should be replaced by a “rule by many positive experts” approach.
